Hello,
I have 2 question on MT4 (I'm runing demo, only so far):
a) In backtesting the "graph" shows "no. of trades" on x-axis. I'd like to change it to date.
b) While trading more than one currency I look for an analysis of the history trades by individal currency instead of the whole depot a once.

Does someone has an idea about one or both points to deal with.
That would be great & thanks in advance!

Backtesting using MT4 does not provide the flexibility to do what you want.

a) Suggest you save the report to a file and then create your own graph in excel based on dates.

b) Not sure what you are asking, but you can only backtest one currency at a time.

cheers, Fred

Hey Fred, Traders,

a) Yes, I was afraid that this function is not given at all. Thanks for confirmation.

On b), sorry for being not precise enough (also Admin. "optimized" my thread title - here is "backtest" misleading):
Anyhow, during a month I trade (not backtest) more than one curreny. All these trades are listed in the e.g. monthly Detail Statement as htm report. In there, I see the depot result as a whole only. I'd like to get trading results per pair instead of the whole (or in addition to the whole). Of course, it must not be a htm. Get the data into xls and sort them there would be great.

How do other traders check their performance per currency when trading more the one pair?

There are scripts available to export your historical trades to a CSV file.
