I want to make you aware of the free to use http://www.mt4gui.com/ library. It's a library which allows you to interact with MT4 in a completely different way. You now can switch Symbols and timeframes from within an EA or indicator, draw buttons, minimize the terminal etc.
You will need to register before using it which is a one time process.
The major drawback: While it's functionality is great it's relaying on a dll and it's not open source which makes it a no go for me. (Security issue!). I won't use it on my live account or on my live trading computer but playing around with it on a virtual machine is really fun. I just thought some of you could be interested in it.
