Vertical scale MT4

Is it possible to change the values of the vertical scale?

You can do any of the following:

With the mouse cursor in the vertical scale area:

1. Drag downward (left button) to compress the chart vertically.
2. Drag upward to undo the compression.
3. Double click (or press numpad 5) to restore the default (MT4's "best fit") setting.

Alternatively, press F8. On the lower left of the Common tab:

1. To (initially) set the vertical scale between any two values, check "Scale Fix" ON and enter your desired values. These values remain in place even if you change timeframe, scroll left/right, or zoom in/out. They change if you drag or double click the cursor in the vertical scale area, as described above. With this option on, you need to drag upward to widen the view to display "off screen" candles, because the scale is otherwise fixed.
2. To lock the scale, check "Scale Fix One on One" ON also. Now it remains completely fixed until you press F8 and uncheck this option.

Here is how this is further explained in the on-line help:

1. Scale fix One to One — fix the chart scale as "one to one" (the size of one pip of the vertical axis in pixels is equal to the distance between the bars axes in pixels). At that, the "Scale fix" option will be enabled automatically, and a scroll bar will appear at the right side of the window that allows to move the chart vertically. This mode is necessary for precise constructions.
2. Scale fix — fix the current chart scale. If the scale has not been fixed, the chart will be automatically scaled vertically. This option disables automatic scaling and fixes the current scale. When this option is selected, the fields of additional scaling parameters "Fixed maximum" and "Fixed minimum" are activated.

[Edit: all of the above applies to the main chart window only. The vertical scale of a lower window can only be changed by editing the indicator (double click on it). Then go to the Parameters tab, check ON fixed maximum/minimum and enter your desired values. This feature is available only for certain MT4-supplied indicators].

Thanks David,but what I actually want to do ,is have the horozintal lines each 50 pips apart.

But in daily and weekly charts, the lines are very dense, are there any way to make it sparse?

During my daily prep, i typically spend ages screwing around getting the current price range to show in the chart and at the right scale.

Having 'scale fix' set, and double clicking in the price numbers works like a treat, setting each row to be 10 pips apart and lots of range above and below where the current price is,

Anybody knows why the scale fix setting is not saved in the template ?
All other options of the chart settings are saved correctly.
Right now I have to check it again and again when loading my template.

Here is how to reproduce:
-Open chart
-Enter chart settings, check "scale fix"
-save template
-load template
-Enter chart settings
-wonder why scale fix is unchecked..

What also annoys me is that the scale is not locked when scale fix is checked, so if I accidently drag on the price scale I have to readjust it, which takes some time as one can not enter the distance between the price labels but only the minimum and maximum value. The scale is only locked if scale fix 1:1 is checked which I don´t want.

I'm trying the Sweetspots indicator with colour set to Indigo (on black background). Probably as good as it gets without a change to Metrader (which I don't think occured with the change to MT5).
