Just 2 problems to resolve if possible

1. Can I change the date stamp on trades and the chart time ... to reflect EST? ... I think it currently defaults to GMT.

2. How can I edit spike data? For example a couple of weeks ago CHF/USD had a wicked spike that now scews the chart. I have read on posts that rougue spike data can be edited to smooth out the chart. How would I do that?

If you are using MT4 you can go into the "Tools" > "History Center" select the currency, then "Daily" or whatever time frame you need to and you can edit/delete individual candle data.

Now as far as changing date/time stamps? There are several brokers for MT4, some of which probably have the FX Feed set to EST close, but the I B FX feed is indeed set to GMT and there is no way to change that on the charts, although i do believe there are some indicators for MT4 that will place a colored candle at 5pmEST close??? But have not used it myself. Check out the Yahoo group here and look in the files section:

I am using the data from the server MetaQuotes-Demo - MetaQuotes Software Corp.
Which time zone is that (the last bar recorded in the charts was 22:59 12th May)

I don't know if this has been covered already. I've searched the forum and apparently didn't use the right words, if it has. I'm not that familiar with MT4, but since using it, I've gotten hooked. However, today my daily feed with the current quotes was turned off. I guess the demo account ran out?

I tried going to the website and starting over, but that didn't work. Could someone tell me how to set up another demo account, so I can get the feed again?

The SBFX MT4 does not expire. U can download it from http://strategybuilderfx.com/
If u have custom built indicators u can just transfer them to the appropriate folder under SBFX. I quit doing the "renewing demo dance" when I found this package.

There is an Expert Advisor that changes the time to your local time. It's available on IBFX website called Your Time (http://www.interbankfx.com/experts.h....htm#advisors4). I've never used it so don't know how effective it could be. I prefer not to mess up with the application's default settings.
Do you have to reload the chart if you wish to get rid of fib and trend lines that you have drawn. I can't figure out how to delete them and my charts get confusing quickly.

You can right mouse click on a blank area of the chart then select 'Objects List' from the pop-up menu to quickly delete or edit items. You can also adjust or delete items by double left mouse clicking on the trend line so three dots show on the trend line. You can grab the trend line by holding the left mouse button over the dot and pulling it. While the dots are showing you can right mouse click directly over the trend line. A pop-up menu will show where you can delete or adjust the properties. For fibs click on the 'hi to low' connecting line to adjust or delete.

Click the file menu at the top of MT and select 'open an account' from the dropdown menu.
i am on the screen and i am getting a blank for both the mt demo on scroll bar and also for the perimeters of the account type option. will not let me proceed beyond it.

If you filled in the requested info and checked the box agreeing to subscribe to the news letter and it still won't let you continue I don't know. I use MetaQuotes and Alpari demos so they don't expire. Maybe someone else will have an idea. If you don't get any replies or if your in a hurry, downloading and installing a new one is an option.
I've just installed Meta Trader. I understand charting as I've been trading for years using charting services. I understand the loading and saving of templates. What I don't understand or know how to load or use are the EAs that are available for various trading methods. Can someone enlighten me please? I've tried the help pull down but it isn't a tutor. Is there a tutorial about? Thanks for any and all replies

I am using Meta4 for forex trading analysis and am finding the platform very good. Does anyone know if a similar free download is available for stocks as well?
