These tools would make MT4 life oh so sweet...
1. a script that would produce a label of the bar time converted to a different time zone.
Run the script and then in the next instance of clicking just above or below a price bar it would plot a label of the time (date could be an option, but not too important). The script would allow the user to (within meta editor) set a time zone conversion simply by adding or subtracting from the broker time.
Because the script would only run for one mouse click, using a hot key would make it convenient.
You ask why? Running a few MT4s in a few different time zones and having to rectify times in my head makes me tired and error prone.
2. A script to produce a barcount label. The script would start the count on mouse down and then on mouse up leave a bar count label. I think that might be "easy". What would make this completely incredible, but would probably be the opposite of easy is if the bar counter could work out calendar days, but I don't hold out hope for that.
3. A script would leave a label of the pip difference between mouse down and mouse up.
Basically 2 and 3 are just work arounds to capture what the crosshair tool does and leave convenient labels.
I think the a the simplest to use and simplest to code for 2 and 3 is to create an indicator that labels the rectangle tool so you would get both axis in one shot. Maybe this exists already? The rectangle draw tool already contains the bar count and the pip difference, it would just be a matter of having the talent to know what to tell the 'pooter. ; )
I might have another idea or two, but any of the above would be sweet to see. I bet others would make use of these functions.
Anyway I have no expectations, but feel free to leave a wisecrack, a link to something existing I have not found yet, or even a hint at what the could might look like.
cheers!
