This thread is about helping everyone to get useful trading resources instantly.

1. The profitable EA (As long as it could generate profit even if it is not well promising)

This is the most importrant question ... as backtests are useless. The only use of backtest should be to control that EA is trading as per the rules ... but absolutely not to see profitability.

The only valid test is forward on a LIVE account (real trading conditions).

FerruFx: Yup, I agree, there are many factors would affect the performance. However, i test these by using fixed spread (3 pips), i think this would be better to see the result. In fact, i am tying to show here is to understand whether the EA works. So someone could use it to modify, forward test, or do whatever purpose.

This strategies are far away from being reliable. Why ? It is very simple, their expected value is really low and long term profitability almost impossible. In my 3 years experience with automated systems I think I know what Im saying. So what is needed for profitability over long period of time ? So many things but the most important is taking as much from market as you can in very good moments. Giving away only little and keeping low DD with very low risk of DD. My proprietary automated trading company using portfolio containing large number of systems over large number of assets. Dont be fool guys thinking that grid systems makes you rich. Really. You can believe me or not, its yours decision. One sample Im presenting on myfxbook. Just search my nickname. Greetings and good luck guys !

Trading a demo in a back test and trading live will result in 2 completely different results..

Totally agree with your posts here. EAs will not success in the long run with the same settings. IMO semi automated system may eliminate some of the weaknesses in fully automated EAs. .
