Gives a good overview on how FX works, explains the terminology (pips, lots, swap, leverage, etc), some basic fundamental and technical analysis (FA, TA), and the importance of money management.
There are several lessons to learn that will lead to learning about FX trading.
1 Read, read, read.... everything in these forum pages, start with the links at the bottom of these pages.
2 Ask, ask , ask, ... there are no "stupid" questions so ask about anything you don't understand, don't be backward about asking. ( you might get some some angry members who don't want to know about your questions but don't let that put you off. There are about 50 helpful people for every angry person, who are more than happy to help out. Just ignore the angry negative types )
3 There are three main area's of study IMHO. Money Management; Technical Analysis; Fundamental Analysis. Most of us ( I suggest ) start off in TA, but avoid the mistake of ignoring the other two areas.
4 It takes time, a lot of time, to come to grips with online trading. Quite apart from the above comments there are the problems of learning about computers and all the failings that these things have as well !! This is probably more of a problem for the likes of ( us ) older folk who came to PCs somewhat later in life.
5 Give yourself the time you need for study, avoid rushing into trades. For practice, start with a demo account, then a live mini, and once happy with your skill move into a standard account with adequate funds.
