It's been a while since a thread like this has been posted so I thought I would see what the latest setups are which are working for people. I would like to do the following:
I would like to trade and read FF from work without using their computers (as this is always becoming a bigger and bigger issue at my place of employment), and I would like to monitor the markets and place trades as needed.
So I'd like to go mobile. Right now I have mobile internet from Verizon (you connect using a phone number). My work place has no WIFI, so I think I'm stuck using my own wireless service provider, this would also help a lot in letting me check trades everywhere regardless of where I am (assuming phone signal).
So can anybody guide me to a setup which can do all of the following:
- Uses Verizon ('m open to other suggestions, but I live in a rural area and I know I have Verizon here and I have no WIFI at work). (I suppose it is possible to change carriers I've just been informed I can choose Cingular, Sprint, Nextel, or ATT as well).
- Can run Metatrader Mobile (what operating system should I use?)
- Can access/post to FF.
- Can receive text messages.
- If I could access my OANDA account that would be a bonus.
Only limitation is I can't use a standard laptop as that would look too conspicuous, but PDAs here are common at my workplace.
