Does FXOpen.au do server maintenance on weekends? I just created a new live account today (Saturday) and find the website incredibly slow to respond. 5 - 10 minutes to move from one form to another.

I'm hoping it speeds up a bit before Monday morning's market.

It was a delay in processing a back office request.

Hi pquin. Yes, we often do our maintenance and updates on weekends. It should be nice and zippy now.

Hi Adatok

We share the branding and technology. We also share liquidity so spread, swap and execution should be pretty much the same.

Regulation is different though and we also have different conditions of trading so if regulation is not the issue for you, you can choose which conditions best suit your needs.

We would love to have you trade with us here in Australia. We do offer some of the best pure ECN trading conditions in the industry and you will have the safety and security of trading with an ASIC regulated entity.

In exotic currincies you do not have Indian Ruppee (USDINR), Oanada Spread is more than 10 pip which is killing . do you have any plan to include that pair in your symbol.

thanks

Hi mkfx

We don't have any Liquidity Providers for INR so we can't offer it at this time.

Please limit discussion to FXOpen AU only as I will not field queries about FXOpen NZ (fxopen.com) since they are a different company so I can't speak for them. http://www.fxopenaus.com

Hi Jafar,

I have a live account with you guys and opened a support ticket to your AU trading desk team but all my replies have been from FXOpen NZ?

Are you outsourcing support or something?

Summary of post
Place a sell limit order (offer) in gold. Price goes bid about $4-$5 above my limit order then goes down. My sell order is not filled.

Detailed post
Thought i would post about my experience with FXopen Australia. Usually I trade futures, Fx open appeared to be the first broker that may be competitive with my futures brokers, decided to open up a small account to try them out.

Place first trade, sell limit in gold. A while later price trades well above my limit and then goes down below it leaving me in profit. Only when i check i have no open position and no sell limit order. I contact support who tell me to email trading desk, which i do, with the chat transcript so i don't have to explain it all again, email below in blue:

"Please see below conversation from live chat and explain how price can go bid 5 ticks above my offer and not fill me. Not sure how this can be possible....

Your Question: My account is XXX, it looks like I had a sell limit on gold hit earlier but it has disappeared and i am not short, just wondering what happened? Order was 26897716
Please wait, an operator will be with you shortly.
You are now chatting with Andrew XXX - Support Desk (FXOpen AU Pty Ltd)
11:23Andrew XXX: Hello. How can I help you today?
11:23Andrew XXX: It's not displaying in your trade window or account history?
11:25ME: it's in the account history
11:25ME: but order is not open
11:25ME: so looks like it triggered but didn't open
11:25ME: my account balance hasn't changed
11:25Andrew XXX: Are there any comments on it?
11:25ME: had no stop or take profit so not sure how it could close
11:26ME: OCT
11:26Andrew XXX: One moment please. I'll see if I can get it checked.
11:29Andrew XXX: From a brief look at it, it seems that it tried to trigger and wasn't filled. For detailed look, please email the order number to [email protected]
11:30ME: ? price went 5 ticks above the order?
11:30ME: will email them now"

No response after nearly 7 hours so i email again:

It's been 7 hours now without a reply... Is this normal?

they reply with this:

"Unfortunately we have faced a technical issue which influenced margin requirements on gold. Your order was not executed by that reason, and we are working on fixing this issue. We try to do our best and sincerely hope that it will be fixed as soon as possible.

Ticket ID: 44656
Department: FXO AU Trading Enquiries
Type: Issue
Status: Closed
Priority: Normal
"

special mention to the bit in bold, i wasn't even angry, the fact the ticket was closed as if this is normal actually made me laugh. My order is still not filled even though the market traded above me and would now be in profit.

my response:

"That's fine but could the position be put on at my selling price? I had a limit that was executed and should be short at that price"

3 hours later and no response and I am not expecting one as my ticket is closed and my problem obviously resolved.

They amount of money is insignificant so I don't really care, but just thought i would post this so people know what they are getting themselves into with this broker. Lesson learned, trade futures, a futures broker couldn't pull this on you.

Happy to provide any documentation to mods on any of this if required.

Anyone trading with these jokers is taking additional risk. This response is effectively an admission of "if we f*** something up that cost you your money, too f****n bad."

Lets hope for the sake of you guys trading with them that there are no more 'technical issues'.

No. But if you have a real need for it, and you are technically minded you can connect yourself to MT5 (Or any other platform) via FIX API.

1. If I want to open an account with your company and deposit via debit card, how much times does it take from the moment i open account to when i can trade ?

2. If I want to withdraw via debit card, is there a limitation on the amount ? and how much times it takes to reach my bank account ?

Hi Mr.Kane

1) Credit/debit card deposits via Skrill are instant, so if you need to get up and running quickly you can choose that method. If you're in Australia, local bank transfers are free and quick so choose that method.

2) If you choose to deposit by card, your funds would go back to your Skrill account. You can then withdraw from Skrill to your bank account.

Hello FXOjafar,

I have a question regarding your server time-out during each daily rollover. I am having recurring issues (non-responsive platform, connection breakdown) while closing trades instants prior to the official rollover time, that is just prior to 7am Sidney time. This is causing unwanted and unnecessary rollover payments on my end. Of course, I am talking about live trades.

Could I get the EXACT time window that these server time-outs happen everyday? I basically need to know when I will be shut out of controlling my trading everyday. For example, another broker was able to give me a straight answer about it. That is between 7:00:00 and 7:04:59. I would need the same from you. No approximation please.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Princeton

PAMM rollover doesn't affect trading at all if that is what you are talking about? Daily rollover (for swaps) doesn't affect trading either.
We do have a regular server reset at 7am server time though which lasts 1 minute or less but you aren't locked out of trading until the reset makes the server go offline.

There is nothing unusual with what you saw. Tick chart contains both BID and ASK which move as the spread changes. MT4 charts show the BID price only by default so it appears not to move if the ASK price is changing. You can enable the ask line on your charts if you want to see it but the spread is so small on AUD/USD, you may not actually see the ASK line unless the spread is wider that about 0.5 pips.
