It seems to move with German efficiency

I just trade DAX these days ( as of last Wednesday to be fair ), but it's worth watching EU cause if EU tanks 100pips the odds are the DAX will do similar about 10 - 20mins later, yes this is kinda cheating, I like cheating!!

As always you want to improve yourself and your skills, which will have a big effect on your trading and success. One of my problems is that I'm never satisfied, I always want to get better.

I try to keep my losers rather small. I would say they are between 5-10 pips but could be even 20 pips on ocassion, which is simply my fault. Hoping for price to reverse by giving it "more space". Sometimes this just ends really ugly if my judgement of the entry is wrong. Regarding average winner, I would say probably around 8-9 pips. if I like the current...

hi Htc1,

if you can pinpoint those 1 or two trades aday into the most favoured trades that have high probability of winners, then thats all you need.i used to trade 10 15 scalps a day im now down to the most selective 3 to 5 trades on average,id be delighted to get it down to two winning trades only, the more your in the market the exposure to risk.for me these days its only about the best set ups and money

Hi diceman555,

You are right in your thinking, getting 1 or 2 high probability trades a day with a good amount of pips is good enough. Then your task is to find those 2, get good entries and exit for both and run them from start to finish. My current problem is that I'm not really there yet. I can't always find those 2 high probability trades. Still need to improve my entries, that's my weakness at the moment.

At the same time, if you get really good as C-12 who can make several winning trades a day, why limit yourself? Now don't get me wrong, getting 1 or 2 winning trades a day is really good results but seeing the results from C-12 I just want to reach his level. The downside of this is that maybe I will never reach his accuracy and number of trades. We are all different and I might not be able to get there. But at least I will try my best. If not I'll settle with 2 trades a day.

Some members in this thread are getting upset about the current discussion, so I think we better get back to the charts of C-12.

Good morning. First trade of the day.

6 pips x 2 taken and at BE.

My BE stop came under attack (happens) so re-entered on another rejection. This isn't the low risk entry however, but I do see this quite often.

Took a single position on this and move to BE was quick.

If I had 2 positions on I would have taken 1 full profit at the rejection bar highlighted with the lower red arrow.

Since I've only got 1 position on I'll stay at BE and see if I can catch a runner.

Hi C-12,

Do you enter often at the retracements? This morning there is just no volatility!

Also, would you re-enter again if price came there a third time? Or is it only one time, the first "fresh" trade with the second time being more cautious?

Thanks

Sometimes yes. However, If I've already banked my 6 pips x 2 then I've got the room to do this.

Sometimes I'll tweak my stop just a touch or add.... or both in this case.

Hey bro, Already took 50% at +10. The rest covered and trailing with 20. 5880 is the next bump to clear me thinks. With the bounce I may take the other 50% here at +20 or more and see if we get another shot up higher. Say 5930/40ish or so. Your thoughts?

Please excuse the 5M chart in your 1M thread.

Nice work. I'm neutral on direction here. We're very close to H4 demand and I'm looking to open a swing long position soon. Not sure we're quite there yet though.. I'd like to see it get closer to ATR exhaustion deeper into the level before getting too bullish.

A cracking M1/5 level in the EURUSD just hit. I was out when my alarm went off. Absolute no brainer for at least 10 pips this one!

Agreed, that EU was sweet. I did see it but I have a stake in aussie right now so couldn't add it.

Ok got to dash to work so I've opened up a swing position on the GBPUSD. Only a small account this. Stops are 30 pips. The red line is my BE level and the white lines are my TP levels. Let's see what happens.
