I must admit I am a little surprised I haven't been reading more speculators talk about how/when the Chinese will pull the trigger on more stimulus.
We have seen EU, US and Japan all announce a form of stimulus. Is it just a matter of time until the Chinese are on board too? Contrarily, is there a benefit in allowing the CNY to appreciate? Considering much of the Chinese assets are held in non-yuan currencies, is it just a matter of time before the Chinese have to compete in the bond-buying/currency manipulation the Japanese and US have already announced?
The Chinese were moderately proactive earlier this month (~160 billion in infrastructure stimulus), what do you think the Chinese will do next, if anything?
PS. Just went partial long AUD/JPY
