I have been trying for some time to find an ea or a signal service that returns a decent revenue, uses money management, has no outlandish drawdowns, and is legit or third party verified. Either i am not looking where i should or there is no such thing.

What is your experience?

I think there is.
Looking at myfxbook might give u some name of EA-s (cant advertise them here by giving direct links).
They have lasted for some time but I find them risky (Martingale involved) or very slow growing.
So you would need huge account for them not to blow and/or make some money.
F_ck your analysis, I know exactly where the market will go. To the right.

i've read and seen performance on some automatized trading funds and they perform really well. i would try to stay away from anything automatized which advertise mathematical models. those are the ones that fail long term.

Are we even allowed to recommend these things under the rules if they're commercial/for profit?

When the question is "Is there a successful EA out there" why is "exxon corporate bonds" an answer ??

I don't know the answer but those seem fairly irrelevant or nonsensical.

There is a website that proclaims to have unbiased trials of EA's . Some of the EA's seem to have done pretty well for a fairly long time (some signal services are included). I've noticed though, that the results are based on the higher risk levels and primarily with a specific broker. Be your own judge.

I don't believe I'm violating any rules as it isn't a direct link to a specific EA.

Given all of today's technology there's really no reason why an EA can't work, it's just that most of them don't.

Perhaps because they are not human. Not monitoring PA. Given all of todays technology price is manipulated by major global banking by a handful of humans making decisions on a minute to minute basis. How can any technology be predictive of those decisions ? They can't .
IF such a system has been created, to consistently turn profit, then check out that the author is a certified philanthropist before purchasing .

Apologies if i appear sarcastic.

Trading with my own EA, I can tell you, Yes, EA's can work.
If you have a system with definitive rules, entry and exit rules, there is no reason why those same rules cant be programed into an EA (assuming you have the programming know-how or know someone who does).

Anyone who says EAs dont work, probably also have a manual system that doesnt work.

That said, I do think that most EAs on the market are complete crap. Most of the really profitable EAs are either private and not for sale or very expensive.

Think about it, do you really think any EA worth having would be sold for a couple hundred of dollars?

Steve generosity to code other FF members trading strategy and later distribute it to the public for free.

You can try and test all of the EA and play with the setting to suit your trading style.
