Can anyone tell me the prs and cons of spreadbetting vs traing fx?thanks

The only reason I trade FX in the UK is because you don't pay tax on spreadbets over here. For me, that's the biggest pro. The biggest downside in my opinion is that the SB is the counterparty to the trade, so there is a big information assymetry and potential conflict of interest. They are not under 'best price' obligation, which makes it important to go with reputable SB's only.
