... as I started using an EA in my trades, I thought it would be a good idea to start a new journal.

this ea is supposed to be me, the Robot version of me.


It use complex algorithms to enter and exit positions:

1) Fibonacchi points to place ST, TF, make trailing stops, and to confirmation to enter trades.
2) VSA Signals to find background, weekness or strength (ref. to Tom Willims'book)
3) BetterVolume Indicator, to wait a potencial selling or buying.
4) CandleSticks Patterns Confirmations, like Bullish and Bearish engulfing and others.
5) Inmediate Trend in last Bars
6) Spread and Volume Averages.
7) Money Management. Lock Equity to avoid big move losing.



Green list: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, EUR/GBP, USD/JPY.
(Pairs EA DID work on backtesting)

Black list: EUR/AUD, EUR/JPY
(Pairs EA did not work on backtesting)


My quest for green pips started here Note: My explorer now only show trades since May/15th, the day i start running this EA.


Weekly Summary:

Week #10: Lock Equity Changed to 1%, Some Bugs Fixed. -105 Red Pips -4.9% DrawDown
Week #11: -592 Red Pips -29.1% DrawDown
Week #12 : 23 Pips RiskReward changed 1:3 Signals Changed: Buying/Selling Climax on H4 Fibs and Vol on M5.
Week #13 : 239 Pips. EA based in High and Lows of prior day. Follow here

I'll inaugarate this thread, trading 5 currency pairs from Tuesday of this week. Adding USD/JPY, my goal is to add 20 Pairs that gonna be testing one by one in backtesting.

Glad to see another who made his own EA and running on profit. And one more that I like that you use a similar approach. I just hate EA that use indicators or some martingale concept.

I found something that might interest you. I use ATR to decide SL and TP, after running for 1 month and re optimize I found that the optimal parameter changes slightly. But what interest me more is the fact that the ratio is still the same.

When price is trending I found using slightly bigger TP and SL is better and when it hit some S/R on daily TF using tighter one is better. I am thinking that using longer TF to adjust TP and SL using longer TF makes the need to reoptimize EA parameter became longer.

Currently, I am only use my EA on EU. But I will reconfigure it for another pairs when I have time. Good luck with your adventure.

Thanks Passerby!, it has called attention quite what you say, specially becouse I use something similar to what you mention, I knew about ATR indicator, but as I was very resilient to use more of those indicators, i made something working close to it.

If you look at the Zoom picture of the data's EA you going to see some values that use to place SL, TP, or trail steps.

Since week #6 when i started using this EA i still have no losing week, after that i was adding more Currency pairs that I backtested.

Manually Close BUY GBP/USD with 28 PIPS. Still have 1 open Sell GBP/USD. with -145 Pips at the moment.

By the way, this seems to be a very quiet week.

Another GBP/USD Buy signal this week, I still have that annoying Sell position of the last week...

I wonder why no signals in the other pairs... Low Volume this week ? Maybe.

So this week am doing 70 Pips, but, with -139 Pips in not closed positions = - 69 Pips. No good ...

Lets see what happend in the rest of the week, wednesday is always a good day.

Another GBP/USD Signal this week, it's the only active Pair this week in this EA.
Only have 1 other signal in EUR/USD.

the new version proceeded fairly fast, I have a AUD/USD Sell signal, confirmed by Bearish Harami, weakness in background and a buy climax before.

i have to stop closing manually and let the EA do the job...

running version v16: MM changed.

How will the others Pairs react to this fall after London opens ? Really dont know! am not good in fundamentals.
