Hello all,

I am looking for an MT4 EA that will manage my trades that I open manually.

I would like to apply the EA to my chart when I open a position and for the EA to move my position to BE at a certain amount of pips and at the same time close off 30% of that position.

Even better if I can set yet another take profit for another 30% after price has moved a user selectable amount of pips.

I have had a look at Mauro trailing but there is no TP facility.
lvoe 1.6.1 does not give the option to close out a %.

I had tried an earlier version of Quic Trailing but it would not work.
The version you posted looks perfect.

Editing because it appears the EA is not working properly on my charts.
I have EA's enabled, smiley face in right corner.

It sets my S/L and T/P correctly and the red dotted lines show up on the chart as they should.
But it is not taking partial profit when it should.
I have it set to "True, First take profit at 20.0, take proft % 50".

It is also not moving to BE with settings "True, lock pips 1.0, set break even at 20.0".
if you are testing this on a micro ac make sure you have "account is micro" option set to true...and no pdf sorry.

I have tried Quik trailing on a demo acount and 2 live accounts where I have had EA's working for a long time.

I am using 0.1 lots on 1 account and 0.03 on another account, both would be classed as mini account I think?

0.001 would be a micro account as far as I understand.
Here is a test i did today.short 0.10 lots,1st tp 50% at +30pips. and stop to b.e and it worked.i'll do more testing and report.

i think if you manually change the stoploss or tp that is initially set by the ea or was set by you before you enable the ea,then the ea doesn't work. removing and reattaching the ea solves the problem.

I wonder if me having other open trades on the chart that I apply Quik Trailing to are causing the problem.

Did you set "account is micro" to true or false for your 0.10 position?

yes, it was set to "true". set this to false only if you trade with standard 100k lots.

personally, i use this ea to set auto stop and t.p levels.i scale in with multiple positions,and the ea by default automatically sets 100pips tp and 50 pip stoploss for each new position .i then drag the tp or sl lines up or down if required.i never used the 1st tp option for multiple open positions on the same chart so i don't know if that is causing the problem.

When I initially opened the position I was manually setting a stoploss, then applied the EA later.

I just tried applying the EA as soon as I opened a position and it did take 30% off a +20 pips and moved stop loss to BE which is what I wanted.

You kind of answered my next query too, I also scale in on dips and wondered if the EA would take care of all the positions on the chart without the need to reapply the EA.

it will set the sl and t.p for all new positions that you open manually. Better keep an eye on it as this ea is 4 years old ,and malfunction sometimes.
Alternatively you can use multipurpose trade manager,too many options.please refer to the pdf for explanation/instructions.

If you are still looking for a simple but versatile trade manage EA, take a look at one of my EAs on this thread called "Complete Trade Manager", read post 1 for a quick overview. I do not believe it has bugs, able to handle 4 or 5 digit broker, ENC and non ECN automatically. Start with v2-a, can install initial stop and tp, also have break even, trailing stop and partial close.

The Quick trailing is placing SL at 50pips and TP at 100pips even if the automatic SL option is set to false if i set to true it place the SL and TP at different distance, that doesn't make any sense.
It did on both my buy and sell on eur/usd and only on the buy on GBP/JPY.

I have not used it in a while, but if I recall correctly, you can drag the SL and TP to whatever levels you prefer.
is there any way to close all open trades in mt4
