I think Harold4X is getting scared that JohnFx might stop posting his magnets then he might have to look else where to get his recommendations for his clients.
first of all mrscoop nice name my whole point is what is john dies what will you do then look for someone else to give you signals are you not smart enough to learn how to trade yourself???????????? thats my whole point thanks for the attack just trying to help and protect beginners so they wont get taken i wont bother to help anymore GOOD LUCK
Ok guys and gals, after much thought here is what I'm going to do. There are certainly a lot of terrific people in this forum and we are all trying to do the same thing...make some bucks from forex. I noticed one of the other recent threads (I won't mention who the poster was), posted that he had a system and was going to tell all about it. I then noticed how enthusiastic several people were, but the person never returned to describe his system. That kinda makes me feel bad and really shows you that there are a lo of traders who are hoping for a method or system that works or can at least give them hope of getting profitable. Well I'm going to tell exactly what my "Magnets" are once and for all for FOREX. The method for the emini dow index is a bit different, and I'm going to keep that to myself for now. maybe some of you can help make this thing work good with regards to entry, stop and exit. Hopefully no one will take this thing and create an ebook or paysite and start selling it. If someone does, I will track you down...just kidding.

Ok here it goes. I did fib a bit. First the Magnets are found on 1 min. charts. And I've noticed that not all charting packages will have them. A magnet is a little 1 or 2 pip GAP. Yes a little gap. Price tends to return to these little gaps quite often.
I posted a chart to illustrate it.

Wow. So that's it. Little gaps. For some reason I was expecting complex algebraic equations. If you could reiterate: what sort of success rate have you had using these magnets over the past several months? From what I've read you've been fairly successful. But roughly what percentage of the time have you seen this behaviour occur?

These little gaps get created several times every day, particularly in EURUSD and USDJPY. I've noticed that they don't get created as often on the crosses. It seems that the US dollar must be involved. Thes little gaps occur most often when action is very slow or very fast, it appears. When I see one I draw a horizontal line from the gap accross my chart and quite often price will return and hit the line to fill the little gap. Of course it also goes beyond the gap. I've also noticed that sometimes it will only go to within one pip of the gap and then move back away. But, eventually it will come back. It's a strange phenominom (boy that's a tough one to spell).

John, thank you so much for sharing. Who would have thought the magnets were something so simple?! How do you know which magnets to focus on? Looks like many get created. Do you scan specifically for magnets near a high/low point?

Sorry John,
I was among them asking you reveal your system, and I feel sorry for that. I must admit that I was a little bit dispointed when it came out to be such a simple system even it worked very well. I would further test your magnets, and then let you know my results on a data supply of North Finance. I have been establishing a system of my own. It's a trend-following system using EMA's. We can change some points if you like.
You are still my hero.

Bonjour Johnfx, Merçi pour votre système façile.
Some you guys seem disappionted that JohnFX's system was so simple...i would put up his method against any of your most complicated,technical based system anyday because there's a lot of price manipulation going on in this market that doesn't follow any technical basis.
Now all that you guys need are Time Magnets . JohnFX please feel free to post for those of us who don't have charts able to display 1 min. time frames and thanks for your continuing efforts. -weZ
Glad to see FF back up. Icouldn't log on for several hours last night.

If you guys look at the second EURUSD chart I posted on my website yestertday and showed the little gap "Magnet" at 1.1873 and said price would eventually return to that price. Look at your charts at around 19:52 EST and see how price hit 1.1873 exactly and bounced up. That is a prefect example fo the gap Magnet. There were several during the london session. I'll post when I get a chance.
