DislikedTrotty, very good post...
but i will argue with this one about taking care of your body,
from my experience it is extremely connected together, when you really try hard in gym and going for your targets it develops also your personality....
for example I go to gym regulary 4-5 times / week (while studying and working a lot), it takes a lot of discipline and hard work to do it consistently, another much harder stuff is food, you cant eat random food (also u have tostop with drinking etc).....especially this time when summer is coming and you want...Ignored
I agree though, I wasn't necessarily suggesting that the mind is the only important thing to look after or that a healthy mind isn't also connected with a healthy body. I was just pointing out that the most people would consider spending time and money on improving their physical health without appreciating the impact that it has on their mental health. The idea of spending any time on improving mental health (certainly here in the UK) is a totally foreign idea to them. People generally massively underestimate the impact of having an uncluttered and balanced mind.
I do both though. I walk the dog every day and run 5-10k 4 times a week and play golf a few times a month (shockingly badly!). You need to find time for all this stuff, it's far more important than not missing the next episode of your favourite soap opera.
