Choosing the right portfolio of forex pairs

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know whether anyone could give advice on what forex pairs are good to trade alongside each other?

I've been reading about correlation etc but really I'm still a little confused about which pairs compliment each other well and don't cancel each other out during trends.

EUR/USD, GBP/USD, GBP/JPY and AUD/USD are currently the ones I'm thinking of going with.

Any advice?

I'd choose maximally uncorrelated set of currency pairs. For example:
EUR/JPY, GBP/CHF, AUD/NZD and USD/CAD.

I was wondering if anyone plays silver? or in this case, XAGUSD?

also consider the spread that your broker provides for each pair
