Hello,
What's the first thing they teach you on the first day of Intro. to Information systems?
Garbage in = Garbage out
So many EA's fail not because of bad programming, but because of insufficient coding to take new market conditions into account. We've all seen it kill the best systems, both manual and automated.
But what about a truly adaptive system that takes as an input some aspect of the market that is constantly changing. Could be anything. The important part is that system is "smart" enough on its own to trade ANY market.. This may sound like a generic explanation of a neural net type system. Yes, that's one type. But, I'm thinking much more generally than that. Specifically, correlation.
Maybe that sounds too obviously easier said than done, but I'll propose a system on post #2. Feel free to tell me I'm a moron, a genius or anything in between on my conclusions and I'll be sure to return the favor if you'd like to share your ideas on a market adaptive EA.
Discussions should be based on hard data, either chart prints at first then hopefully to excel sheets doing some hardcore calc and data comparisons and finally EA generation. I'm still learning MQL personally, but I'm getting there, but also willing to pay for outside work to be done if you've found a solid system and can explain it well.
Use the attached EA to store indicator values to a csv file. You'll have to edit the indicator calls to use icustom for your custom indicators of course. I'll post a version of it with my system, upcoming.
