Dear fellow members,
we often hear that Greece (or other nations) should be kicked out of the Euro but how about the other side of the coin.
I want to know your opinion about whether or not Germany should remain in the Euro. Let's face it, the southern european nations need to be able to play with their currency /inflate it/ to keep their budgets reasonable. On the other hand, the disciplined germans, with their 1st class work ethic /and the resulting 1st class products/ do not.
I understand that Germany depends on exports and it's going quite well, with a big fat trade surplus - but is the Euro really necessary to keep it this way?
So ... Euro or not? Maybe a "stronger" Euro for countries that are ready and a "loose" Euro for the PIIGS?
Opinions from German taxpayers - the de facto bailout providers - welcome!
