I am just lurking & doing a couple of demo trades but from your chart I see that the Price Line & the Trading Signal Line are tangled together before and at the 1st entry where you took a loss. The 2nd entry is classic and yielded pips. Hopefully others will chime in as I am a noob with this strategy but I do trade Dean malone's 1H E.A.S.Y. strategy where he introduced the TDI. The TDI is very powerful if viewed in totality.

Hi,

thanks, you are right. I feel shame because I started my "romance" with the TDI with eelfranz's thread, and then I was at X-Man's thread and both used TDI. It was even stated that the angle of the TDI cross is very important (that is why I do have an indicator which shows this value) and the best cross is with steep slopes (0-60 deg, and 120-180 deg).

I have to pay more attention and be more focused.
Thanks

take care,
thrax

Fellow Traders,

my second trade of today hit SL by 0.6 pips... That was the first TDI cross, this entry was according to the rules. Unfortunatelly I was not at pc when the second cross hapened offering a very nice short. The short move was also supported by the shooting star which hit my SL...

Any advice appreciated.

take care,

hey friends,

i just got home (7pm here) and now i'm ready to do my backtests as i couldn't trade through the day.

LOVEBEES, can you tell me why i took this trade? the upper yellow line was my tp (i'm not an expert on TPs).
would have entered at first blue pin in the white zone. SL 2 pips below the pin.
why was i so confident about this trade?

note: i backtest candle by candle on m15, after 4 candles i check h1 etc...

this is AU M15, noted +15 in my log book

PEACE AND LOVE

Lovebees,

without seeing candle momentum, only from this chart: do you see an entry?
if yes: where is your SL, where is your TP? what other reasons play a role in your decision making process for this trade(hint: HTF)

if no: why not?

peace and love

=================

Hello Steph,

No, I understand why you took your trade. My question was in relation to the last one which you say you would not have traded once the price reached the ADR.

But in theory then, when would you have traded the second long had the price not taken out the ADR?

Hope this is clear enough for you?
Ignored

hi Hercs,

in hindsight: I would have not traded any further in that pair under any circumstances. i'm not experienced enough to trade between 200 and 800 ema. i keep the safe setups.

if nothing was there i would have looked for basic things: away from 200 ema, above 10 ema, away from round number ideally.

but i'm sorry that i cannot clearly answer your question because if nothing was there (no adr, or 800 ema) price would have acted differently.

i hope you know what i mean?

the first time i heard of forex was roughly 4 months ago. please apologize that i have no answer to your question mate.

peace and love to you
steph

Question:

On your charts, when do you stand aside and do not trade?

Hint: Everday, the market tell you four things.

I hope to see 100 posts with answers before I answer this question.

Hi ALL,

What is AIO?
see chart attached.

Simple puzzle for the long weekend ahead. Until you can appreciate the forest and the trees, you are not in sync with nature.

I closed shop for this week. EOW.

Hi Emmanuel,

I see double inside daily bars and the break, which occurred in the today's session. Usually, subsequent to such a candle formation there is a very strong move and thus a great opportunity for us traders.

I hope this was the answer you were looking for, but I don't know what "AIO" stands for

The USDCHF breakdown from BRN failed. Analysis of the losing trade

1the trend had already been underway a while. TDI was getting low
2the best trade had already completed rejection of 10MA with pin target BRN
3 second short sold on the fail ofBRN with small pin
4 Lesson: selling off the BRN fail meant stop at the 10ma was not ideal
5 closed half at second larger retest of BRN
test of declining 10ma with a pin looked good for short but test o BRN from hi side failed. closed short
6 LESSON too close to US 'RED' data which did move the market few minutes later 11.30
7 long open on retest of 10 MA after +cross of 200,50 and 10MA
8 close at prev resist new ADR high
Overall good, but second short was a little risky even though it showed potential
P

PS HOW do I hand draw on MT4 charts??do I need an indie? :-)

Yes higher TF still look good, 15min having trouble breaking thru the 93 handle.. may be waiting for the US durable goods and unemployment claims in 1.5 hours. How it reacts to the declining 10 MA will be key Short term imo

I face daily the same stupid fear of losing. Sometimes my trades hit TP, but there are many situations when I close manually in order to not lose what I earned or minimize the loss. After closing, guess what? The market prove me i was right! The solution I see for me is to be confident in my analyze, take the trade, put SL and TP and let it be.

I took only 8 pips on that because of a little bit late entry. When I saw it struggle to break down I closed.

When I took this capture of chart, I realized that TP of 15 pips would have been hit.

When I see you post a good entry like this, I'm so happy that already got the eyes to SEE.

"FEAR" factor need to be eliminated.

Don;t worry with early TP, soon I will do my best to asssist you and others to let the trade "RUN" a bit longer.

I used to be like you " Grab & Run". But after months of studying, am start understanding how to get trade like " Let it Run ".

Don;t worry..........we have many to see you succcesful.....because we're doing this out of love to another brother..........

Welcome Home My sister.

hope you will visit us regularly and we all need your support and views.

Any question also appreaciated.......... as I like this thread because it is full of puzzle and question...

That's the reason I learn fast, because I have to crack my head to find the best possible answer to most of the question asked.

I don't wait to read someone else answer ( for easy way out). Sometimes a lot of cross reference to find an answer to simple question...including Master Arjun puzzle.

( P/S The only question I cannot answer is Indicator... because i don't know how to use them..lol)

P/S - I'm very late to reply most of PM and notes, but catching up...seeking apology for not replying on time....

Bless you my sister and have a Great weekends with family....
