The GBP/USD looks like a good setup. Ive been waiting on a good retrace on several pairs before i get back in the market.
You cant trust the stoch in a strong trend, it will stay OB or OS for a while on the upper TF charts.
Ive found the MACD is more for trending markets.
Looking good for a trade setup possibly Sunday/Monday.

I sat out most of this week, waiting for some kind of retrace on the lower TFs before i enter back into the daily/weekly trend.

Maybe stay longer than expected, if refer to D1 MACD crossover for exit
But there is a possible risk
Remember, MACD is lagging indicator. Maybe it's better to refer D1 MACD histogram

It's an excellent simple strategy. I don't post here anymore as I run my own forum linked to my books which are available on Amazon. The classic is swing trading with ha and stochs but I also wrote Easy Automated Trading. I spend most of my time these days coding, testing and monitoring automated trading systems.
Hi Hugh, should it be a stoch cross for the signal to be valid or as long as the stochs are rising then the signal is valid?

Also, would you consider going long when stochs are already overbought?

I have implemented a system based on ha.
i use daily timeframe to predict the direction of the long term trend and use hourly for the short term trend.

i back tested this and validated ~75% win rate and ~25% recovery at break even point.

i automated this and published it here
