Hi there all!
Im not too good at posting but i thought this may help some.
After going over this forum for some time looking into brokers and being disheartend by many of the reviews, up and down, on many brokers, i came across one that gives 2-3 pip spread on the majors and doesnt extend there pips during the news. MT4 platform.
I was put onto them by someone thats a regular on here and im really sorry but it was some time ago and have forgotten who =0(. -(Found out it was MOE! )
First up i filled in the online form saying that i wanted a demo account ( they use MT4 ) and that went fine but so did most MT4 demos on other companies so meh. I then signed up for a live account online, all this means is that someone from the company contacts you ( phones you, no matter where you are ) and then goes over all the details.
Now being a newbe i had so many questions that i kept emailing that one person that first contacted me, about 20 times lol, and every 2nd email i would get the shock of him calling me to go over it on the phone, was great and they got points there.
Next, the info, oh god, im in Australia and i was wanting to open an account with the London office but they need a fax of all your details signed by a lawer ( not as hard to get as it sounds, walk in and ask and your photo copy of your ID is signed ) and bank details and bill to your addy and so on, now once they have the fax to confirm you have all the right papers signed, you then need to send it to them by post as faxes can come out faded and it is alot of paperwork your sending.
Anyhow that was all done about 3 months ago and i have been trading, losing, winning since then with real money ( mini account, 5k AU but its 2k in pounds ).
I have traded RIGHT on the news breaks and sometimes if you do that it will not let you trade but that only lasts for maybe 4 secs, which is good cause we know how the news makes the pips rise and retrace very fast but the spread never changed and 2 to 4 secs really isnt much and mostly it doesnt stop you at all ( only happened 3 times ). They have a help desk if you need to call them to stop or start a trade that way, for watever reason. Oh and even though they have the help desk they have explained that all trades do not go through a person first, so i think thats why the spead is fairly low and trades are instant.
By the way they have 3 platforms depending on how big your account with them is, oh and they normally suggest a 1:100 lev but you can change that.
I dont work for them just so you know and the only draw back so far was the signing of paperwork and sending it, that was a pain in the behind. =0)
They also deal in GOLD,SILVER,Forex,Futures and so on, which they suggest to you as a "dont put all your eggs in one basket.." method.
