i have a excellent system using supply and demand, but sometimes cant define the trend properly to pull as many pips as i can.

So whats the best indication for trend, an indicator or ma's whatever

I mostly use 30min and 1hr charts
How are you tracking actual supply & demand in the Forex market?

Total Volume or something like OrderBookFx?

If you understand supply and demand properly, then you would know how to easily define a trend.
First you have to see the supply & demand (like Cumulative Delta Volume in futures) and in Forex I would like to know how you do that.

orderbookfx been there done that, was very poor. So cancelled my subscrbtion

I look for a balance at a level and a strong imbalance showing orders still sat at the level, thats the closes you will get without actually seeing the stack of orders.

really, my friend has it. i cant get it right now. he's around 80-90% on his trades using that and fibs and s/r

ya im not getting too far into it, but i used it for a week, and realised it just the same as using supply and demand, orders are changing constantly on it.

The end of the day working or not, it would not wrk for the life of forex for the simple fact that that product wont always be here, whats the chances its still going in 10-20 years time, very slim, people move on, people die. So i like to trade purely on things that will be here yesterday now and the future

I am still missing how you are seeing the supply and demand (the actual order flow or where resting inventory is held like Cumulative Delta in futures)?

Fibs, MP is not supply & demand based trading - just price action projections. So what item do you use to track order flow in Forex?

for example, when i was a noob with $500 measly dollars, i used an ea which was a monthly subscribtion, i wont mention it out loud on here for obvious reasons.

But i used it for 3 months, solid consistent profit. it turned my 500 into 750 in 3 months, and traded trend sup and res and momentum, always had about 20 pips stop loss and tp were anything from 30 to 300 pips.

IT cost me 99$ per month, technically i lost money with only 250 profit BUT the account wouldve grown and i would be making profit.

One day i got an email saying the service is stopping, people moving up in the world etc. At start i thought i was going to be rich, i was relying on this service, then bamn! click of a finger its gone, and since i been learning manually.

calm down, sit down, im not better than you or the next guy, i cant see #REAL order flow!!!! i can only determine the flow from price action momentum and continuation. Works great for me and all my followers which is now over 300. I show all my stuff for real with NO HINDSIGHT!!!! everything was live.

I am about as calm as you can get - I was trying to see if you were using a method to track order flow in Forex that others may not know about. Oh well, nothing new then.

no lol, like i said im no magician nor guru, i simply learnt supply and demand, use naked charts and trade profitably. But as after a trend indication to help me to let trades run move stop loss to positive pips while price still moving etc
Going to your original question then, I like Trend Channels and HA candlesticks to verify strengths of trends -

me think nothing can properly indicate a trend, becos at any give moment, the price can just continue one way or change direction. Trend doesnt exist until after the fact.
Trends are all over the place and they are easy to spot (and follow) - they are of course relative to adjusted time frames but I can deal with that. There are ways to verify trends and traders who spend most of their time following trends will do a heck of a lot better than traders fighting them while counter-trending (the historical probabilities & statistics analysis supports this).

My advice, if you are a trader who is not yet profitable week to week - STOP counter-trend trading! ONLY look for trends and follow them - spend all your time studying ways to follow trends (the math backs this up big time). Buying higher lows and selling into lower highs has a lot of merit, so find ways to follow trends and you are then into path of least resistance trading.

Price action will tell you when trends are in place and order flow can verify strength of trends -

thanks guys for all your replies, i do see from all the comments its very subjective and one might see a 1hr chart as an uptrend while the other might see a strong sharp downtrend in action, with this i have put trendlines at all areas, like the eurgbp i have trend below and above trying to judge the chanell its now floing in, eurusd for example on 30 min has been ranging most week, but fri seemed to be strong uptrend, so really depends how you scale down to look at the area and time your trading.

As for being profitable i started a very popular journal over at trading journals, showing live trades "BEFORE THE FACT" and then opening a live webinar where people view everything i do, including my facebook live account, ppl really loved it, i had 33 winners in a row when i started it

i can take retracement trades easily for small profits or least of BE but trying to improve my trend analysis is what im doing now to pull few more of those pips out.
No indicator required here buddy. If price is going up, then you are in an uptrend. If price is going down, you are in a downtrend. It really is as simple as that
