well, i think i can be called a coincidence . 1 year (ok, + 1 day) after this post and i am reading the book now and was searching the Preferred Stochastic too.

does anyone here knows if the version in Metatrader is the correct?

I know when you load up MT4 they have a DiNapoli Template. I honestly don't know if the Sto is correct. The only way to know is to see an example he uses and then compare them.

Did you buy the book from Joe? If so, you should be able to get a free month at his forums. You could go there and grab some screenshots others have put up and then try a comparision.

I do have MT4 indicators for his MACD-DEMA and Detrended Price Oscillator. They came from a guy who I trust very much and he swears they're correct.

I also made, a long time ago, an Excel version of his FibNodes. It works extremely well. In fact, I have his FibNodes and I always preferred my Excel work over it.

Fire me an email and I'll send this stuff if you want it.
I believe I have the right one that you can verify by urself but I can't upload it here, I get an error when trying to do so.

and take care when using lagging indicators you have got to use them properly in the right context.

understand what they are and when they are used.

Could I be rude and ask, that, if you still have a copy of your DiNapoli FibNodes excel spreadsheet, please could you send me a copy, or explain the equations for the COP and XOP?

I'm trying to put one together but I don't seem to be able to get the equations right.

I don't know the original settings of this indicators
I think I read somewhere the k- line should be 20 but I have not confirmed this,
if someone know the original settings maybe they could advise.

Joe Dinapoli used and taught these stochastics/MACD to be used in tick charts (market data) and not time based charts like the ones we see in MT4. So in forex, has anyone backtested these indicators?
