Yes, I agree the TF override is a good feature and I will add it.

You posted on the wrong thread - this is for the Dashboard version.

That is an interesting suggestion and I will consider ir. I stayed away from MA crossovers since there are already so many out there.

Edit: After some consideration, I realized that another project would be spreading myself too thin. I alreday have enough going on and anticipate MT5 requests this year. This is a chance for someone else to step up.

You can, but that would change the sound for all alerts. There is no sound file option for the indicator, and no plns at this time.

Understood. Thank you for the response.

If I change the sound of all other alert programs, only your program rings the default sound ("alert" sound in the MT4 holder). This way I can know the price getting close to MAs It's a little cumbersome, but worth doing, I think.

Thanks again!

Been searching for something like this for some time - This does everything I want and more besides. As it is a weekend, I cannot fully test it but I eargerly await Sunday night so I can get it loaded and test out a new system/theory I have been manually backtesting. Many thanks CodeMeister and I am amazed at your patience in tweaking the indicator everytime someone suggests a further modification - wonder if I'll join that group next week?

Its been a long time since I worked on this one. I don't remember having a problem like that, but I am wondering if you are loading it onto a chart while the market is closed. I seem to recall that it didn't work until ticks started arriving. What I suggest is to delete it from your chart, wait until the markets open again and then attach it again. Don't change any default settings until it is working. The defaults work fine to the best of my recollection, although they may give the results you want.

Regarding my post above - I installed this over a weekend and sure enough only the first pair had an entry. However, I left this for a few hours and found that it had populated them all. Switching to a lower timeframe (I was on 4H) I find that it populates all the pairs more or less immediately. I presume that it happens on a time basis, even the the market itself is closed.

Hello CodeMeister

Do you mind letting all the 15 pairs be customizable ie the user sets all the 15 pairs unlike the default with 11 pairs preset and 4 customizable. I monitor 3 intraday timeframes of 28 pairs and I figure that could further reduce my workload and tidy up my screen

Thanks

For me it is the best indicator, and I've been running more than three years in forex and have tested more than 1,000 indicators.
For my style of trader is the best!
Thanks CodeMeister
Be happy, friendly, humble and winner!!

CodeMeister,
I first came across this indie back in September 2011.
I appreciate what you do here for several reasons.
Your coding ideas are well thought out, executed and displayed.
Your willingness to share your expertise is greatly appreciated.
The thoughtfulness and care which you have shown by tightly controlling the content of this thread has greatly contributed to its usefulness over the years. Too many other threads of this type have become bloated with meaningless posts and content by others. I suspect that is probably mirrored in your programming code as also being tight and well constructed.
You are a good example to others here at Forex Factory of how a contributing coder can add true content value.
I appreciate you and your work.
Thank you from me and the community at large, many of which which may not take the time to say these things, but many of us are definitely thinking it.
Thank you and my respect.
Rich

Can you give me some pointers how Pip2MA_DB gets quotes from different symbols?

( I couldn't send you a private message, so I ask you here.)

I used iClose() as best as I can remember to get the current price for the desired pairs.

I have no idea how to do it with the new MQL, perhaps iClose() is still valid.
