GJ L3 Trade
L3 trade on GJ just stopped out on that CPI data from the Pound.. Was quite a late entry but worth a punt. Stopped out by no more than the spread Greedy position sizing, particularly after entering off the lower band buy pressure. this trade taught me some though about stop placement, particularly after a late entry..

*Note to self.. the higher the level the longer the market will take to turn, generally.. the important thing is to get S/L behind the T/L and work the risk in slowly on the higher levels rather than dumping the lot on the first price that is given.

(Looking for an L2 Entry on AJ later on)




Back End Deal
This is what I call a "back end deal" .. I'm talking about the picture to the right =P...
My AJ short is at the mercy of a YEN retracement as it is the lagger of the bunch.. Not a given but something I am worried about. The AUD is very strong at the moment which is holding back my trade.

(Sorry took a screen shot and it did both screens... I'm sure many will not mind!)

 

1. Recovered my L3 loss on the L2 trade and a bit so I'll take that, my target was lower... that will do me for today..

Still ironing out the kinks of this strategy.. Next time around there will be a few changes:

Maximum Risks:

Level 1 risk = same
Level 2 risk = no more than 2x level 1 risk
Level 3 risk = no more than 2 x level 2 risk

In the case of an "empty tank" on any levels:

Level 3 passes minimum risk requirements back down to level 2
Level 2 passes minimum risk requirements back down to level 1

This serves a few purposes.


1) There is an actual cap on risk which is never a bad thing.
2) Levels 2 and 3 are not so cut throat
3) High leveraged trades can still be taken
4) Margin will not be maxed out

Tempted to jump back into a GJ3 trade.. Looks like the market is waiting for some resolve on this US default issue though, but from a PA perspective on the Daily chart although momentum looks ready to break long, we have a lower low and lower high with a high close... On a normal day PA like this often offers good prices in this particular situation to get short.. It's good herd fading stuff, but I think I will use this time to catch up on some f undies.. It's been a while



GJ3 CANCELLED

Came just a couple pips from my SL and then after the big burst down I was still only around B/E.. Daily charts made a higher high and currently higher low.. Aborting this mission

Aussie made a good sniper 67 pip STRAIGHT move at that time to mentioned 9410 (9414 actually)
After a chop of some 1 day, it just hit the 9385 i mentioned about. Given the demand there it became clear of more upside possibility
IMO will take out 9550 barrier soon (many stops building above) and may be even a jab at 9600
BUT I am Looking to start loading shorts above 9550, Lets C how the PA is up there

Tweets? lol, yes sometimes i love tweeting what i am thinking regarding some pairs i am trading (whether on guinea pig account or normal accounts)
For me, twitter helped me learn a few things here and there following some "good" people So i made it a regular part of my trading.
Tweets are a good easy and quick way to type something rather than a POST here. Communication is pretty quick there too

This was a really nice set up, they put the top in on Friday and Monday was the AUD rate decision with the GBP "super Thursday" later in the week.
