Hello, I wanted to know if anyone actually does this with success. Aren't the charts too small to check properly? And is it fast enough or it's too slow? And what broker do you use?

Thanks

I use a Droid X. Also Oanda is my broker and I prefer Trade Interceptor for charting. The screen on the X is huge that's why I went with it and I have no problem seeing PA on it

I was using a HTC HD2 which runs windows mobile. Part of the reason I got it was to check my trades. Not so much entering but managing stops etc.

The HD2 has quite a good screen, same size as an iPhone4 but it's way to tricky to use. Also windows mobile tends to crash at the most inopportune of times. Which is probably why MT5 mobile will only be on iPhone or Android.

I was using the standard MT4 mobile from Alpari UK. I got rid of the phone in the end and went on to a standard Nokia N86. Can't trade with it but what I do now is leave MT4 running on my desktop and publish to MT4i. I then just check my statement at MT4i with the Nokia browser.

I am generally not far from a computer so not a big issue and if I know I can't get access to one I take my laptop with me and hook it up to the Nokia.

I think MT5 mobile is out soon for the iPhone so I will have a play with it on the Mrs and see what it's like.

I have an iPhone and use trade interceptor for my charts and switch to oanda app to trade. I only do intra day trades like this as scalping on a phone is bad with internet connection and time delay changing apps etc. But I can quite effectively trade independently from my phone.

I use Android with Interactive Brokers for trade execution and ProRealtime mobile for charts.

I use Oanda's Iphone and Ipad apps to monitor trades, however I have noticed price lags between the two apps and my actual computer. The Ipad app seems to be the worst for some reason. I like Forex-on-the-go for charts, I will have to look into the others mentioned here for sure.

I've used oanda, gomarkets and igmarkets on iphone. Igmarkets is the best out of these 3 in my opinion

You can sign in alot faster and customize it to show the prices of all your markets instantly. Also the application is just generally more user friendly. Even if if i'm trading from a different broker i use IG to check the prices/charts.

Droid Incredible - ThinkorSwim mobile app.

Would never actually trade on it. I just use it when I'm curious what the market is up to when I'm away from the computer.

I am considering trading FXCM from a smart phone. A few questions:

1. Is blackberry or Android better?

2. For Android, how difficult it is it to switch from charts to actual trading and back at a fast speed ( if you have to use a different ap for charts and placing trades)?

3. overall, what is the best Mobile charting ap?

Thanks

Hi, I'd also like to know that.

An iPhone has a small screen compared to other smartphones(that are cheaper than iPhone), so I was thinking of android. Also there are more apps for android I think, so it's probably better than blackberry.

Thanks all

Hmm and I forgot to ask, do you use internet with unlimited traffic, or with a limit (like 300mb, 100mb?)

I personally trade on 2 19 inch monitors and sometimes don't have enough time windows for charts.

Trading on Iphone can be temporally solution when you need to be away from PC while you have open trades.

And do those applications allow to use custom indicators? And can you trace trendlines and support/resistance lines?
