Draw line, count how many time price touches the line

I draw a line in mt4 , can I count how many times price touches the line in the last 30 candles? How do I do that? I can do it visually of course but is it hard an indy that just do all that automatically?

I am more of a copy and paste newbye wannabe programmer and still had no succes with this request.

In this example price touches the line 9 times. Is ther an indy that can do that for me?

The attached file is a script, and needs to be installed into your ...../[MT4]/experts/scripts folder. Then restart MT4.

First, press F8, and on the Common tab, ensure that you have 'Show object descriptions' checked ON.

Attach the script to your chart. The script will create a trendline; set its horizontal length (LookbackCandles) and initial color (LineColor). You can also set its StartingPrice level. Or if you leave this as 0 it will simply plot the trendline about half way up your price window.

Click OK and the trendline will appear. Click (or double click) to select it. Three little squares ('handles') appear.

To move the trendline around the screen, drag the middle handle.

To change the length of the trendline, drag either of the end handles. If you want the line to remain horizontal, hold down the SHIFT key while you do this.

If you want to change the properties (color, style, etc) of the trendline, right click, and select Properties. You can also change the price Values on the Parameters tab to move the trendline to a specific price level.

Provided that you previously checked 'Show object descriptions' on, then after you've moved the trendline and released the mouse button, the text 'Count A of B (C, D)' will update itself.

A = the number of candles that intersect the trendline
B = the length of the trendline (in candles)
C = the price at the left handle
D = the price at the right handle

If the trendline is diagonal, it may be difficult to read the text. Hover the mouse cursor over any one of the 3 handles, and the same text will appear in the help pop-up.

To remove both the script and the trendline from your chart, drag the right handle leftward beyond the left handle, or vice versa.

Now If I am not pushing it, I tried all night modifing the code to add a second trendline (succedeed) and calculate how many times prices bounces between this lines.

This 2 lanes are parallel, what do I have to change in the code to count every touch of the line ONLY if previous price touched the other line(price bounces from line to line)? So we can count the bounces from the lines and not the touches directly?

Sorry, this is rather more complex - currently I don't have the time to figure out the best way of doing it.

None of these seem to work anymore. I tweaked original version and deleted unnecessary code. It works with MT4 build 1045.
Remember to turn on object description using F8.
