Hi folks,

I am in search of a broker that falls within the following guidelines:

  1. Allows US Citizens
  2. Has a decent reputation
  3. $400 minimum deposit or lower
  4. Allows micro lots (.01 lots) or lower
  5. Has Leverage of 50:1 or greater (EDITED from 100:1 - found out that US citizens are unable to attain > 50:1 leverage)
  6. Has reasonably low spreads on Monday Market Open in Sydney (2100 GMT)

The only broker I’ve looked at so far that follows these guidelines is Oanda. The problem is #5/#6, as Oanda’s spreads for most pairs ranges from 5-15 pips at this time and their leverage is only 50:1. I’m not positive, but I think there are other brokers out there that give you better spreads at this time and I know some brokers provide more leverage.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can point me in the right direction!

I'm currently looking at FXDD. $250 minimum, opens at 2200 GMT. Just need to check out the spreads during me target time.

Does MB Trading actually fall within my parameters? I have heard they are a good broker, just not sure if they fall into the category i'm looking for.

Take a look to the Hot Forex. It matches almost all your requirements.

Hey Crucial, currently looking for the same thing.

I don't think ibfx offers micro.

MB Trading is a good option but the number of currency pairs is limited.

Oanda can't be beat for spreads and number of pairs but their trading platform is bad in my opinion. Also no complex OCO orders.

FXCM spreads are wider but they offer better platform and complex OCO orders.

I just checked out Hot Forex. Low spreads and lots of pairs but I can't find their order types.

Anyway, I may do both Oanda and FXCM. FXCM when I need complex OCO orders. Please let me know what you decide.
