Hi all.
I want once and for all to exactly understand how Forex session times work.
Let us always refer to GMT hours.
According to Babypips:
Forex session GMT times:
- sydney session 22.00-07.00 summer, 21.00-06.00 winter
- tokyo session 23.00-08.00 summer, 23.00-08.00 winter
- london session 07.00-16.00 summer, 08.00-17.00 winter
- new york session 12.00-21.00 summer, 13.00-22.00 winter
Is this always true, even in the past?
Did this rule change at some time in the past?
Another issue...
The switch between summer (DST) and winter time is not he same in every part of the world (it can differ of a few weeks)
How should we handle this?
Does the table above refer to the time switch of the time zone the session refers to?
Final problem.
There are several session calculators available on the internet, but most of them are just wrong (for example do not consider the issues posted above).
My question is... how is it possible to know for sure the opening and closing time of the several sessions?
