Hi, since I have only a small account to start with, I need a broker with no commissions (only spreads commissions of course), that has US stocks (or preferably EU stocks) and commodities/etc's cfd's. It could be commodities futures with micro lots too.

Anybody knows any? I find it hard to find one, the ones I found had a minimum commission...

Why is a broker in business? To make money from commissions. The cheapest you could probably trade with is Interactive Brokers, but they required a $10,000 minimum balance.

I'd go with MBTrading. I use them for spot FX. They also do stock, futures, and options and their commissions are pretty good. If you're trading futures and just doing the E-Mini, I'd check out FuturesBroker, or their other name Trade With Velocity.

Hello.

Im looking for the same thing. I hope you dont mind me posting here as this is ony my second post. I have been trading with a large broker in the US and I understand that brokers have to make money as do we all but some brokers commissions are a lot more than others and this is why Im looking for another broker as well. In particular I trade gold, silver, forex, indexe futures, and some commodities and I'm looking for a broker that offers these at reasonable rates. All suggestions would be welcome.

I'm in Cape Town South Africa by the way so deposti and withdrwl options are important too.

Dan.

I would recommend InteractiveBrokers as well. I have been trading with them for 4 years now and overall, they are very good.

Despite the fact that the minimum balance is $10,000 (It was only $2,000 back in 2006 when I started trading with them), but that's not a big amount when you are talking about stocks, futures, options and forex as well.

What I like most in InteractiveBrokers:

1- 1 Single Universal Account to trade stocks, options, futures, bonds and forex (Multiple Countries available as well, US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, etc...)

2- Powerful Trading Application in terms of functionality, order types, customization, etc...and most importantly, very stable (I have never experienced a crash in the application in 4 years)

3- Uptime is 99.9% out of experience

4- Trading access available via standalone, web or mobile applications

5- Relatively low commissions (Not if you are trading large volumes in stocks) - The lowest commissions I have seen in Futures & Options

6- Trade reporting, confirmations, history and account management in general is extraordinary

What I don't like in InteractiveBrokers:

1- Charting Component in the application is not good (Primitive) with lots of erroneous points in the historical data (Mainly in stocks)

2- Customer Service (The online chat) takes a long time to reach, better to use the phone and pay for an international call

Best Regards,

Nader
