See press release here: http://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressR...pr5885-10.html

What the CFTC is doing is really unprecedented. I thought the Q & A document was great in giving us a window into their way of thinking and rationale. But, now they have taken it a step further and pulled backed the curtain for all to see. Dang, this almost restored my faith in our gov.

Yeah but the most important thing is are they going to listen to us and really do what's best for us? They can show us how they think but if it doesn't include listening to us, it kinda doesn't change anything.

My personal opinion
Make your losses in demo. Earn your profits live.

I think their Q & A doc demonstrated, they are definitely listening. Problem is, there are other forces at work here that we cannot see.

I posted a link to website that described how Bills come into being. Not surprisingly, the very root of some bills is misguided and set out to fix a problem that may or may not even exist.

The CFTC is really stuck in middle here. They have to take action and implement the law as it is delivered to them. I think they are doing a good job at handling the process. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean we will (necessarily) get favorable treatment.

I guess I'm just saying, they way they are handling the issue has turned my opinion. I no longer view them as the evil enforcer I used to.
