DislikedI disagree.
I'm not suggesting that the counter part is random or even poor. I don't know why thats being considered. I'm just talking about where the edge lies.
If you enter based on a trend following system, i'm assuming its in the direction of the trend not a "poor" direction. Your exit is most important because you need to make the best guess at when the trend is over before everyone else figures it out and that retracement turns into a loss.
If you entered based on quick volatility then i'm assuming that you're exiting once that volatility...Ignored
If you enter when the direction is against you then better on it to change before your SL being hit is a bad entry.
If you have a 200sl and 200tp then your not trading, you can slightly improve your odds by getting nearer to your tp initially but ultimately it becomes a 50/50 game and your never get anywhere, despite at the time a good entry.
A position should only be taken when the direction is with you and should only be held until the direction has changed, trying to predict when it will change is impossible, your much much better off giving a few pips back waiting for the change than running away just incase.
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!
