DislikedIt seems odd to me that folk would rather pay the market to teach them how to trade, rather than taking a chance that a suitable mentor might help shortcut their learning curve. However, that is their choice. Each to their own.

As an aside:
For a normal sized starter account of $10k 1 month of membership is around 1% "risk". Yet most skeptics would sooner lose 30%+++ than spend 1% on the risk that they might have to take trading serious.
It's no surprise though; I've been there, done that when I was fresh into this.
I used to be one of the biggest "ohnoes, pay service" screamers on FF. (And still am skeptical of a lot of stuff.)
-
This is the other thing though: everyone who says there is free material aplenty is of course right. But this is a point I have made on FF many, many times before, and one I can vouch for personally, too.
It is this: Once you pay for something, you make it valuable.
This applies to most things in life.
You have attributed it value, literally, so it is worth something.
So you are now LITERALLY invested in your own education.
Pay nothing and you lose nothing if you continue to goof around and not take things seriously.
Pay, and suddenly you have an incentive.
Believe you me, this can make a huge difference.

Of course there are people who don't need this psychological step, just as there are people who are born with a natural talent etc pp, but in my honest opinion this is something not to be underestimated.
Obviously this is an individual thing.

We have never, ever, ever "forced" membership unto ANYONE(i.e. behaved "needy"), and I have repeatedly told people to go to the free thread first and only if they after many weeks or months feel they really want/need to join up, they should make an educated decision when asked whether they should join up.
I have tried to emphasize that it's more about service, support and community, and not about a million super secret weapons or whatever(although there obviously is stuff that is developed there only).
Now go out there.
Compare this to quite literally every single other "comecomecome gimmegimmegimme limited time only join now before bargain expires" etc marketing driven BS and you will see just how many miles away we are from all of this.
All it takes is one google and you will get 50.000 of those same format, same javascript "offer expires today" pages with "But wait! That's not all!" and logos of signatures by the guy, etc.
I think you know which pages I mean.
They make me sick.
There's a reason you get members putting up massive blocks of text here without any solicitation. We haven't been making this stuff up the last 5 years.
It is what it is.
There are and will always be naysayers, but that's just how it plays.
It is your own choice to pick out which venues of self-education to pursue and whom to go to for it.
We have always tried to be different and will continue to be so, no matter what.
I will do my best towards this end, and - and this is what makes the community that has grown around J16 so awesome - so will the members.
It's just incredibly rare.
Trust price. Know yourself.
