oanda & scalping

Sounds attractive doesn't it, makes you wonder why we trade forex really!

If too many banks go to bankruptcy at same time, there's not enough money in any fund of the world to cover all customer's money. The only opcion would be that central banks begin to print money and create huge inflation with the subsequent devaluation of the local currency.

All retail forex brokers operate similar to this. They pool clients trades together and use algorithms to hedge the pool. You should be glad they do this because if they didn't smaller accounts wouldn't be able to trade. There are scenarios where Oanda or other brokers can make money off of you if you lose. I would imagine if you're trading a small account and are opening and closing positions every few minutes, they aren't going to be able to hedge your position directly. With that said, I can assure you they are not manipulating markets to take out clients. Even if you have a huge account, the amount of money it would require for them to move the markets even a few pips against you is astronomical compared to any potential gain they might receive. You have to remember that this forum or any other internet forum is going to attract people who are losing. You're not going to come to a forum looking for advice if you're making a ton of money every day trading. In addition, people who lose are looking for anybody to blame but themselves. This is why just about every broker has its fair share of bashers. Point being, if you're having trouble trading profitably its likely you, not your broker.

No more scalping Bitcoin for me since I have been banned from trading it. OANDA is allergic to traders making profits.

I have been trading with Oanda for a while now. I sometimes get in and out of trades in less then a minute...And my account is still active. I have taken lots of money from them I guess...but zero problems. withdrawals are almost instant. I have 50K + account. They are a market maker but they are legit, most of these so called ECN's are MM's as well at some point...its all one big BS. They do have shit swaps and spreads though lol...but at least my money is very secure.

I have been trading with Oanda since 2005 and I have a slightly bigger account but like you the main reason I stay with Oanda is for the safety of funds and easy withdrawal of profit. I don't care much about spread but I stopped trading on D1 charts because the swaps became too high. In any case I very much doubt I can find a better broker since most brokers are not as reliable as Oanda.
