Financial Cowardice? A Question to ponder.

Do you think selling insurance stocks.. or any type of financial instrument...during a time of a national or international emergency is cowardly?

What do you mean by cowardy ? Do you mean that it shouldn't happen so as not to increase the panic?

Cowardice is not determined by whether you buy or sell or what you buy or sell but why you buy or sell. Cowardice is unwillingness to deal with the truth. If you want to make money there has to be a place where you sell something that is not making money or are in danger of losing more than your plan or rules permit. Fear need not figure into it. Cowardice is selling something your trading system says you should keep because you are afraid to hold onto it or keeping something your trading rules tell you to sell because you are afraid to sell at a loss.
