You should develop or work with a system that has an edge. Doesn't matter if it is similar to other systems, as long as it has an edge.

And no, you can't find a system that is really bad and trade it in reverse. If a system is really bad, then it more than likely just generates random signals. And random signals traded in reverse are still random signals.
