I don't like today's price action, both on EU and GU... kind of messy, I think.
Anyway, I did take a small long on GU, but for the reasons above, I closed it for 10 pips.
I think I'll wait for the US to come in, and look for more definition... though buying is already visible. But too jumpy for my taste!

Nice volume bouncing off 3550, acc phase is starting to take shape.. Im looking for a few more bounces. I dont trade acc/dist phase, but Im more than willing to catch the ride up.

Nice call Malc on the stopping volume, I was honestly was just expecting a strong retrace..

Petar should stay! : but with a little help and friendly advice.

A person who I respect (and those are few in number) once told me " There are people out there who go about their daily work, not knowing just how valuable their effort are results are. They are too focused to see the potential of what they do."

I think something similar is happening here. I say similar because Petar can clearly see the value of his efforts, and trades accordingly. In this instance, it is other members and readers of this thread that cannot see the value. You are being handed a gift on a silver plate but are too focused (blind) to see it.

Tom Williams ( the man behind VSA ) has a long steel rule that he used to draw long straight lines on paper charts. Why did he draw lines on charts ? To identify potential areas of support and resistance. The lines did not have to be horizontal. He thought this line drawing was so important that he dedicated part of Master the Markets to this topic. It's called Section 2. (I repectfully suggest you read it tonight before you go to sleep). Yesterday's sell trade on Gbp/Usd was wonderful, I did hear lots of people calling for higher prices, I hope they got out sharpish.

Petar has posted many charts in this thread and has explained why he posted the ones he did. I laughed (sorry) when someone said along the lines of 'all you show is channels and areas of high volume ', as though this was of little use. Well, that is the way I interpreted the post; I may have misread it. I often see the gift on the silver plate, do you?

Different language and cultures always create little problems when brought together in forums like this, just the same as people with different experience, knowledge and opinions. We must be tolerant.

To Petar, I would be grateful if you would continue to post your prefered charts of the day, they are good and very relevant to this thread. If you understand the saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words' then you can keep text to a minimum and still be a great asset to this thread.

This thread is still my favourite (yes it is spelt with a 'u'), so please don't spoil it.

Happy Trading

Hi Polomine, Intel, long time no see..

That is where i think Wyckoff wave may help, as a possible accumulation maybe taking place right now...

From here a test back to PS level would be helpful to further ascertain this accumulation..

Attachment 585318

Cheers!

Just an update:

FYI, Basic test has appear at PS level, this should confirm the accumulation. Hopefully a test in a rising market could provide an entry near or just b4 the resistance zone around auto rally pt. (there is this suspicious supply around there that may cause some problem for this read)

This is my last post about this subject.
As I said on the previous one, I too have nothing against him continuing to post here. It's not even my call anyway.

But this is not a thread about, as you say above, "calls"... this is about learning to trade with vsa, watching the greatest at it, listening to their thoughts vsawise. And his views are not vsa based.

So it's really simple, actually:
- If he continues to post here, he should simply refrain from criticizing what vsa says and is about (other great not vsaers traders post charts here from time to time, but don't come in here criticizing the bases of the thread);
- If he feels he can't refrain, he has other places (and his own threads) where he can post his charts and thoughts - I'm sure the ones interested by those will go there to read it.

I said it before - I don't care about the longer term views of vsa either, because I only do small intraday trades - but I like to read it... I don't trash it and don't come in here saying it doesn't work. It would be lack of respect

1.3640s are key in this down move. If past them I'll short again looking for 1.3560 first and then 1.3500. Good luck to all.

Wow, this has been very soon in the week and very quick too.

Good pips to all.

EU H1

I'm getting some conflicting signals here. There's a beautiful SO on very high volume following a down bar on high volume so we can look for the rest of the bullish setup.

However, the low of the SO has been breached. This is quite rare if SM bullish. Also we have several bars with high volume in the last few hours but price hasn't raised at all, why? Maybe they're waiting for the news to make their move but, the volume is already there to move the price.

There was also 2 No Deman`s at M30 at the upper trendline.

MTM mentions that if the market doesn't rise up when the background is strength, it is sign of weakness, and vice versa.

I am not sure and also confused.
Ignored
eu did exactly this on its way down to 1.2xxx recently

all down move on high volume. I have been waiting for weakness to appear in forms nd etc ... not done well on euro this week as the 2 hr threw me out

es has been a lot clearer for me and have been on that. It is currently moving 16 point up and down .... really high volatility at a top shows a potential large drops

there is still issue of germany leaving the euro zone and after all euro has been distributing for about 1.5 months

I would love to see a decent up move with sellers hitting it , to be honest I am confused on euro and even stopped using vsa .. lol .. hulls turns down on a 10 sell next bar seems to work

Nothing confusing about EU if you just use your eyes rather than trying to predict where it is (supposedly) going to go. Volume will often confuse, price never does.

I don't want to argue over every post - I was merely suggesting that one uses their eyes and follows price. Predicting on a Friday as to where price is going to go on Monday is pure arrogance - and will eventually be punished by the market.

MTM says a good trading system is able to tell you as soon as possible that you get bad trades and should get out of them. Of course, VSA is a valid and powerful system.

So, malcolm, intel, lascavel or somebody else, could you post a chart and present when and where you change your mind and recover from bad trades?

Thanks in advance.

The title of the thread is vsa with Malcolm . If you do not believe in vsa then why post in here. 2 posts form you have both been useless. In fact I scanned your 88 posts they are all useless.

VSA is a very valid system. Would you have bought BP when all the news was bad and your beloved indies were pointing down. I did , along with the guys over at tradeguider. They also shorted oil 146 at top and recently gold 1420 , es we hammered at 1000 long and 1200 sell.

So is vsa valid .. of course , does it take time to learn ,..yes and does it sometimes get confusing ..yes.

So please do us a favour. Post something of use or do not post at all.

I really am on verge of shutting this thread down as it is becoming something that I did not want it to be.

Waiting on a setup/pullback on the gu if one appears. Very nasty price action through London and now a nice breakout. This knife has some room to fall.

Someone is killing euro. At least I know when it is going up. Starting from January 2nd. Why? Because Estonia is joining the eurozone. That is so good news for the market that it will go nuts

A 1min bid chart? Thats a very aggressive time frame to trade any system on.

lol starts with vodka .. then a bit of revenge trading , then you feel like you want to punch hole in screen and shout at it like it can hear you .

Then next day is a new day .

One thing i have learnt to do using tradeguider is to never trade the h stops. Yesterday I did , it cost me, mind got the better of me. Today i executed 2 perfect trades

entry on gu was 1.5940 , no demand 10 min , 5 min h stops lined up above price and trend candles red on 10 min and up time frames saying look for sells

Those are fighting words -BackTest , Let's all just try to be humble and try as much as possible to help eachother point out somethings others might have missed--Believe me , thats a very easy thing to do in this market..

MY reasons for Going short :

1 .They started selling early into my S/R levels

2 . Some buyers came in on the lows to be later absorbed ..

3. what looked like an END to Rising market occurred at the Resistance-

4 - Nasty Upthrust --then i knew it was over for EU--

See backtest---Doesn't cost much...Now , i gotta get back to selling wheat ..lol
