A little disappointing, we've had this sharp down turn on aud this week. Started seeing a bit of strength with the highest volume on yesterday low with price pushing up and through the high. But unfortunately itt doesn't look like price is going to pull back and retest the mid point of the high volume bar.

Trading isn't perfect.

can you provide an example chart based on your setup pls

I'll post a chart later today, I'm out and about right now.

But AU daily down trend all last week and Friday we see an inside bar, showing the down trend has stalled.

Watch the mid point of the high volume bar on Thursday low.

Picked up EU..

I don't want to pull the trigger on AU with it being so far away from the high volume zone.

I'm not going full 'Weis Wave' on every chart, but I am leaning into the idea of watching waves more closely for lengthening/shortening of thrust to complement the VSA background. Still in the early stages but I think it's an additional step towards me creating more rigid rules around my trading and streamlining some of my analysis

How do you trade it?
It has always confused me the difference between vsa and wyckoff.
For example most VSA traders they tell you that the volume has to be at the top when going short, so if you have a pullback the down leg should have less volume than the up leg, the theory is that if you have volume on the up leg is that smart money want lower prices.
But then Dr Gary Dayton and all wyckoffians when using the Wei's wave tell you that in the same case if you go short the volume on the down leg should be higher than the volume on the up leg, the logic being that there is no interest on the up move.
And here is my problem I do not find consistency with either, I see pullbacks that work on small volume big volume and everything in between. That is why I'm asking

Volume from today, and yesterday really has been boring. I think that can be a hard part to learn.. when to stay out. I'm not super excited to trade today because yesterday's volume is soo bland. The highest volume bar is during London and it isn't much higher than Asia, very bland.

No problem. I will say that i am using it because I was having trouble w/ trade timing and identifying change-of-behaviors in real-time. I can definitely see it being a distraction if you have other issues that are more important to you on your trading journey.

What he looks for is a change on character of volume
A big volume on an up swing that is higher than most of previous volumes and the same for shorts a uptrend and then a down leg with volume on the Wei's indicator higher than any previous down swing.

He also looks for reduced volume in up legs and the same for short

I would call that Interval a Test as well. A. There was a high volume interval two interval earlier. High volume intervals typically get tested. What are they testing for? They're testing for Supply. They want to know if buyers overcame sellers B. The interval makes a lower low but closes near its high on volume less than the previous two, then closes equal to the previous close. The best No Demands make higher highs, but the up movement isn't supported by professional activity (i.e. volume). The next interval is down confirming this as a Failed Test.

Being right and sitting tight, that's where the money is.

I would be looking to move my stop closer after the appearance of the Test interval, but I would not be looking to get out just yet.
