Reading from comments with EA

Hi there I want to make an EA that reads from a Indicator... not I have done the iCustom and all that but I want to know how can I read from the comments the Indicator gives off in the left top corner... the following is the code of the indicator (just an example):

The writing in red indicates where the comments are made, now I need the EA to get this value ... any ideas?

Comments are write only. You have the source code so you could change the comments to a Text object and then use ObjectGet() to get the value you want. That wouldn't be much trouble to do.

Yes ok good idea , but how will I convert the comment to a text object?

OK, I will help but I won't write the code for you. First you create the object in the Init() section with ObjectCreate using type OBJ_LABEL.Here is a chunk of code I used. You will have to fiddle with the positioning. Remember the x and y values are in pixels.

Then replace the Comment() call with a call to ObjectSetText() and the desired value should show on the chart.

Remember to delete the object in the DeInit() section using ObjectDelete().

can u explain how to read the indicator...i mean in manual calculation....sorry i just beginner....

Assuming you have the object on the chart with the value you want and it is named TestObject.

string test1 = ObjectDescription("TestObject"); // make this call from anywhere in the program.

Once you get that working, you can put multiple objects on the chart and also retrieve their data - that is a little tricky.

I don't know what is meant by "manual calculation", but perhaps my explanation will suffice.
