Hi guys!
After building/replicating a lot of different strategies on Forex, I am building a team with friends working in finance as me, to come up with a great system, have fun (and maybe become rich huhu)
In this framework, I am trying to create a typology of FX strategies to organize the work and combine strategies, study correlations, get new ideas, pick some ideas in one group and test it in another etc... I would like to get a good picture of different strategies, and be as precise as possible before beginning hard-work!
I already created the following categories :
- Carry trade
- Pivot / level break (high/low, Murray math, Pivot points...)
- Retracement (fibol)
- Reversal detection
- Moving averages (on close, high/low, weighted)
- Event driven (stock market opening, announcement)
- Arbitrage/correlation/relative value (currencies, index, futures...)
- Edgy systems... (Unclassifiable)
Any other ideas (categories / sub-categories)
Thanks for your help
