Help with ZigZag, Draw Horizontal lines at Highs & Lows

Simple request.

We have the standard zigzag indicator which draws line between the swing high & swing lows. I want some help to draw horizontal line at the swing high & swing low

if its swing high...draw a blue horizontal line
if its swing low....draw a red line

I have something similar on an indicator I found and modified at web, it uses ihighest and ilowest to draw some bands that act as support and resistance for the ZigZag, it also uses the same amount of bars as the ZigZag, that can help you draw this lines. try it is very easy, PM me if you want the bars indicator where you can take an idea to make what you want.

Have you tried the zigzag fibo indicator, gives fib lines between the highs & lows also.

I first read some of ur post last three weeks and since then I love ur coding capabilities and passion to assist that’s why ive been searching for u for 6hrs now ( I forget the exact spelling of ur name).
Please help me implement the following changes to this ea
1)Add in 30 minutes dinap _basic indicator
I want the dinap _basic indicator not to allow trades when it has drawn against signal direction i.e if it draws up ,entering buy signals are NOT allowed, if it draws down ,entering sell signals are NOT allowed.
Money management of
1) Open 2 trades at 3 % stop loss of account total ( i.e 1.5% for each)
2) Partial take profit of 50 % of total trade lots at ( atr % adjustable)
extern double Percentage_ATR_TP = 50 ;
extern double Percentage_ATR_TL = 35 ;
extern double Percentage_ATR_SL = 35 ;
3) the second -remaing lots at ( atr % adjustable)
extern double Percentage_ATR_TP = 90 ;
extern double Percentage_ATR_TL = 35 ;
extern double Percentage_ATR_SL = 35
4) Double lot size for fifth trade after 4 consecutive losses or after 15% initial capital loss then linear lots increment for subsequent trades till two consecutive wins after which it goes back to default lot size.
5) Trailing stop of 20 pips (above for sell and below for buy) of former candle atrstops_v1 indicator for all trades.

hey doris...... see if this will do....

you'll notice when the zigzag repaints/adjusts lower or higher after 3 bars, the existing arrows stick but a new row is created..... this symbolizes times when support or resistance as reflected by the zigzag failed.....

it's imperative to see these times, for obvious reasons......

I'm also looking for an indicator. I found this in NinjaTrader called swing high low indicator. If any one could code this to Mt4 would be great

Your a scholar and a gentleman hayseed, your indicators is great for mapping out the broken lines of support resistance, and very handy for the short term.

However for my method im much more concerned with the historical absolute SR of a specific lookback period.

Im interested in your application of the SR lines in ZigZagAce above, and expanding it to include a period of X bars, so that it looks like this.

You see the reason is because i believe that the SR of the prices 'reflection' is as important, if not more important than the price itself, for example:

So you see an amendment of your original ZigZagAce indicator would be invaluable for this method, well it would save me drawing them out myself!

If its too much of a hassle to implement then please dont worry, it was only because i was hoping that it could be achieved with minimal modification.

hey doris..... ok, now i see what you meant by x bars..... yes, absolutely we can do that......

btw, i'm sure you know this but some might not, have you noticed the zigzag on the daily usdjpy chart..... the price has dropped 400 pips yet still no down leg...... this exreme lag is what so many people don't realize..... or prepare for.....

Thanks hayseed, as i say dont go to too much effort, but im sure many people will find it a very useful indicator to determine SR indeed.

Yes the zigzag in itself is pretty useless as an indicator, certainly would never attempt to take a signal from it, but i think it provides probably the most elegant way of quantifying absolute SR levels, so it has its merits!
