ok stupid question about how profiles work in mt4. If I have a few EA's running on a profile and switch to another Profile, what happens to the EA's on the original profile. Is everything basically shut down until I switch back to my EA profile, or can the EA's run in the background on multiple profiles?

Yes. If an EA is not on an active chart it won't work. What you could do I guess is have two terminals open.

The only way that I know of to view multiple profiles @once is to "copy & paste" the original MT4 folder in your hard drive. For every profile you wish to view, you have to create another MT4 folder in your hard drive.
