I have a question. If I understand correctly, CFTC rules state that offshore firms (in London, UK, Australia, etc) are NOT allowed to solicit US accounts. So, how come many US clients are opening up accounts abroad, to get around all the leverage and hedging restrictions? Is there something I'm missing here? I don't want to open up an account abroad if it's not allowed.
