Hedging

How exactly is it possible to buy and sell at the same time. Are the brokers routing your buy order at one bank and your sell at another bank? Or is it because the orders are contracts and not real money? Or...?

You could just be selling to yourself...

Crossed my mind also. Got an answer from IBFX. They say all orders go through the system. So buys and sells go through as any other order, no matter the originator...
