{quote} I use the m30/ m15 Ultra stochs (11,3,3) just as more of a guide really rather than a signal & I have them on my m5 chart because when it comes to the m1 chart for me I've already made the decesion to enter the trade & am just looking for a few key signals to get me in as the trade direction stuff is behind me by then. For example, for my first trade this morning everything looked good for a sell though m15 11,3,3 stoch was starting to aim up again so I referred to the m15 ultra (11,3,3) & it had just come off a high (albeit a very low one)...

Captain, I am taking my alert from the M5 (ASC) as opposed to M1....

Is this advisable or not?

Cheers

Thanks Capt.

Great move on EurJPY started earlier at approx 5.25. GMT. I missed it by the time I had my early coffee! It was already under way and stochs were already at lows (possible over-sell). Did you pirate any pips?

I did get a short later in EJ as posted elsewhere,...now waiting to see IF any of the various BRNs act as support for a buy.....TWT

Watch out for the German ZEW data in an hour....

Thats my take too regarding Ultra stochs despite playing with params..

Re the MTF stoch... I may need to rebuild this for mt4. I had too last time to upgrade to MT6.00 build. I guess this is somewhere over with the THV folks?

GM - This indy came from a build 600+ so it should work....

A slow start, then first was a sell that cost me 6 pips and then just had to pop a patience pill and then after LO cable spiked up 20+ pips in a single bar, taking GJ with it.....loads of UK news this morning.....

Captain, brilliant. Thank you

I was going bonkers trying to modify the other jumpy stochs with my own params.

Your support (for not just for me) but everyone is most appreciated.

Yes - lots of GBP crop Bollinger squeezes ahead of news.

I am taking it easy as markets have already factored in news/leaks into prices

OK - I do not normally reply to such a basic question which I have already answered before, but as this is only your fifth post in FF.....

First, click on anyones name and you can open up a list of their posts......check back a couple of weeks and you will find my answer.

Second, with a little experimentation you can also find the answer.....that way you will learn more about how the indicator works...
