C# programmer new to forums

Hi people, I am new to these forums.
I am programming a forex robot just like you.
I hope to learn from you and share my experiences with you.
I attached a screenshot of my work to give an idear.
I will do simulations and send the results in to discuss them.
Hopefully choosing this forum will turn out to be a good idear.

But am working on it again for a few months now during the weekends.

That looks very interesting. Out of curiosity, is this a proprietary software? Why not use the existing platforms out there like Tradestation or Metatrader? Saves a boatload of time.

Its my own software.
Extisting packages always have limits.
By having my own app. i can do anything that comes in mind.
I can for example combine timeframes, make new timeframes, etc.
Existing packages have a script language which is always slower then an application running machine code.

one of the hurdles backtesters face is backtesting multiple pairs w/ 1 EA. Can you cook something up to be able to speed-up this process?

This way we can gauge the total winning percentage and flexibility of an EA across all pairs.

Yes, what i want to eventually do when i have a profitable strategy is connect it to a broker and let it trade in multiple currencies.
Right now the backtester only works with one currency but it won't be too hard to let it work on more currencies at the same time and maybe use information of other currencies..
Its definetely possible but there are still so many strategies i want to test.

how do you feed your application with live data ?

some brokers have API's for that.
you can get real time rates and can also trade with those.

can you suggest such a broker ?

FXCM, Oanda, MB Trading, Dukascopy, LMAX. Each one of them has a different API.

I am testing a multi-pairs strategy with good potential for constant profits. Maybe you can help with some C++ programing to be able to back-test in one of the available Platforms/Strategy Testers in the market.
