If I could offer one piece of advice to you, it's this:

Choose one positions size for all your trades and stick with it. Just looking at your trades on myfxbook, you'll have a few trades that are literally 10-100x larger than your other trades, so inevitably what happens is that you'll win big on the small trades and get stopped out (or panic) on the large trades. This is going to cause you headaches and make you lose your confidence. Instead of having some big, some small trades, have all medium sized trades.

I've also noticed that you don't...

over the last 6 months i've been trading, i've found myself upping the lot size to try and get back money lost. whilst in some cases this worked, the majority of time things went from bad to worse.
3 things i've had to learn very quickly
money management
discipline
patience
and of course a good strategy always helps.
and even with these things i still have to check myself occasionally
and do't be afraid to turn off the computer, the markets will still be here tomorrow and the next day.
i will watch your thread with interest
good luck. stay positive

Hmm some strange things have been happening since yesterday. Positions have been closing on their own. I've contacted the broker and they asked me if I'm running any EA. I told them no. They say its originating from one of my pc's, but when I checked, the pc they claim the close positiong came from was one where my MT4 was not even running.

So no clue....in any case, I may have to switch to my UK account. This one is to a point of no return.....and I'll need a lot more to gain back what I had originally if I want to do it in a timely fashion.

Stay tuned. I'll leave these gloomy stats up for now until I get the other account squared away.

Ok, and you can do this but you MUST stick to trading smaller positions EVERYTIME. The guys that make 300 mil a year dont risk more then .5-3% , when you do this I think you'll notice that you become more relaxed and more willing to wait out a profitable trade instead of panicking if it starts to move against you. Stick with it man.

Thanks, honestly on my large account, I do use very small lots. I think on the small account, I get anxious to build it up quickly and end up realizing I'm under compensated. Anyway, I'm still trading this small account, so I'll see if I can at least get it back to $100....if I can, I can usually take it from there....

Well made a nice run the last 3 days on the original account....725 pips, but it barely put a dent in the account because of the deep drawdown and the small lot sizes....gotta keep chugging along though...babysteps..

I am in a couple trades on the new account, but not enough market movement to do anything but sit on my hands.....will have to wait for some volatility in the markets.....until then, its a waiting game...

Took some safety measures and hedged a few lose ends on this small EUR retrace...feeling a bit more comfortable with the fact I only have 2 open positions that are unhedged....just sitting on my hands for now and allowing nature to take its course....
