Boy...if I could only do a bit of programming...

Basically, I'm trading a bit larger lot size and don't want the dollars of the trade in my face.....I just want to focus on the pips.

I open and close the trade with scripts....so, I'd like pips for the current trade displayed on the chart....as in the pic below....with every line as an option.

Essentially, the information would be as follows:

Pips - current trade this pair
Optional, SL, in percent or pips or dollars
Optional, TP in percent or pips or dollars
Optional, W/L closed trades, as a fraction and pips - this pair, today
Optional, W/L closed trades, as a fraction and pips - all pairs, today

Font and colors adjustable for each line item...as well as the order of each line item

Can anyone help with this.

Thanks
CanuckCT

I don't think this would be a resource hog...and besides, I don't have much else on my chart beside a few moving averages.

This one is close...but it goes wonky sometimes if you have a buy and sell on....

I;m realizing that the % SL makes no sense when you have more than one trade on....so just the pips for open trades for that pair....and the total stats for the pair and for all pairs....that makes it easier.

Thanks to anyone who is willing to help.

Cheers

Right click on the trade, and in the profit section click "pips"

Thanks so much....you think we could have a to date feature....like adding a beginning date and it would detect any closed trades from that date to the present. Would be a great tool for keeping tabs on "how am I doing today, this week, this month"...right on your chart as opposed to in your trade log.

This is a great start...if flashes quickly to the numbers...and then goes to zero. So it's close.

Ideally it would have the option to display one of the following:
Current pair and All Pairs
Current Pair
All Pairs

I see this is guru's work....nice.

Try this one attached.

The options you last mentioned could be done, but not sure if he would have the time so can't promise.

Is now working...thanks...and thanks to guru. I have it on a separate template and can now glance at it when required for pips, this pair and all pairs for the week to date. Have not checked the math...but will do that and report any discrepancies. Not exactly as per the first post...but I'll use it as is. Thanks so much.

Works fine...but needs some type of refresh. I have it on a separate template and when I load the template, the objects from the last time is was loaded are still there...and the new objects are over top of it...would that be a quick fix?

It seems odd that the objects should still be on the chart because when you remove the indicator it deletes all its objects.

The quick fix is simply to go in to the object list and delete the relevent objects. It should be very obvious which ones they are and as a hint you can multi-select objects using the normal windows method of usinf the shift or ctrl keys and then click delete once.

As a more permanent fix, edit your template files and remove all the object entries. This way when you apply the template to a new chart, the correct objects...
